Dr. David Cowan, Ph.D.
Clinical Director and Neuropsychologist
Dr. David Cowan is a licensed Michigan psychologist specializing in pain psychology, neuropsychology, and health psychology. In his practice and business affiliations alike, he concentrates on treating traumatic brain injury and chronic pain clients. In his capacity as Clinical Director at Life Skills Village, in Oak Park, MI, he oversees the clinical team and manages neuropsychological testing.
Dr. Cowan is a member of the American Psychological Association, the American Academy of Pain Management, and the National Academy of Neuropsychology. He is a medical staff member at Providence Hospital, and is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Neuropsychology at the University of Detroit-Mercy.
Dr. Cowan is an avid fisherman and also maintains his training in a traditional Okinawan martial arts style, Isshinryu. He currently holds the rank of Sho Dan, 1st-degree black belt.
